Every bowl is a shaving bowl... right?

As I walk the streets among the non-wet shavers that are the majority of this planet's population, I always have my eyes open for shaving gear. Every time I go into a place that sells bowls and ceramics, I look for bowls that might double as shaving bowls. I was in the flower market in Hong Kong today and in one store came across this one. I immediately thought it would make a great and unusual shaving bowl - "I want it"... Then I looked at the price, $7800 HKD - that's $1001 US Dollars. Needless to say I passed on this one - apparently it was made by some top level Japanese artist. But I could not resist making an AI-generated version of this in a nice, trendy bathroom.

I have a similar addiction..I look for anything shave related at swap meets, second hand stores, thrift stores, garage sales..
I scored this Grand Hotel Mussmann silver cup buried in a pile of old mugs, unseen for years in a small local antique shop.It was $18 ..And very tarnished..dates from 1930's Hanover Germany..the Hotel still exists today..

My favourite daily use is the Captain's Choice handmade ceramic lather bowl, I have two in case I drop one, always have a backup. ;)
I hear you, most of my bowls are metal, for obvious reasons.one of my favorites is the Captain's Choice heavy copper bowl.To be honest I could keep that and pass along the rest.🆒

I have this timeless bowl that was sent to me by a friend the ridges in the bottom really help when you’re whipping up a lather it’s actually a well designed bowl. I also like the high straight side that help keep the soap where it should be.
I’m guessing it’s been 3-D printed?
Cheers.
