Hi Friends,

Here my Shave of the Day (11.01.2026)

IMG_8977.jpeg
Razor: Mühle Rocca // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: Mühle Grapefruit & Mint // Brush: Mühle SFT // Aftershave: Nivea Hydro Care Balm

Today nearly „Mühle only“. I dońt like the Mühle blades that much so I choosed a blade which i love. Gillette Platinum. The soap is my newest addition to the den. A nice, fresh scent and it´s well balanced. Nothing is overpowered.

After rinsing the brush i swirled 10 to 15 seconds on the soap and had tons of lather. Scent strength is what i would call medium (5 of 10). It has a very good glide and cushion after i added water two times.

The Rocca could shine and 2,5 passes were needed to get this „smooth as a Baby´s butt“ feeling. Very smooth, gentle and efficient.

To smooth out this great shave i used my Nivea balm (even if i am NOT a Nivea guy) but this balm is really really good. Especially for it´s price.

A clear 10 out of 10

Have a great time, enjoy your shaves and stay safe and healthy.

Greetings
Thorsten

Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Proraso White Shave Cream
Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger
C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher
Heljestrand Wedge
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Derby City Chop Shop Winter Reserve After Shave

The Proraso White Shave Cream was face-lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher and the Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Derby City Chop Shop Winter Reserve After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Brush: Turningz by TanZ, Model FB, The Razor Company 26mm Regal synthetic
Software: Catie’s Bubbles V
Razor: Urkunet Assassin 1.5
Blade: Tatra Platinum (3)

I swapped out knots for the new Regal synthetic from The Razor Company. I find it very impressive after the first shave. It’s the closest thing I’ve come across to one of my favorites: The Muhle STF. It has very similar backbone and is a tad bit softer than the plant based fiber version of the STF. I don’t think it beats out the original version of the STF but I’d have to use them back to back to know for sure. I know they would be close. This is definitely a knot I’ll be using for other brush handles, especially when a 28mm version comes out.

Catie’s V is such a good scent and that premium base lathers like a dream. The Urkunet Assassin will be in the rotation frequently. I have been thoroughly impressed by it. Have a great Sunday out there everyone.IMG_1679.jpg

Razor: Oliworks M3teorite Aluminum
Blade: Gillette Minora, 1st use
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts Classic / Hypercolor Orange
Bowl: Oliworks The Crater / Orange Bowl
Soap: Catie’s Bubbles Miracle Croap
Aftershave: Catie’s Bubbles Miracle Aftershave
Additional Care: Osma Alum
Additional Care: Thayers Facial Toner: Rose Petal

Today had me use the Oliworks M3teorite aluminum for the first time and one of my faves from of of my faves in Miracle from Catie’s Bubbles.

The M3teorite aluminum is a wonderful razor. I bought it for the color after I had picked up the Crater, Oliworks bowl, from TRC in the same orange. I wasn’t too sure what to expect but am pleasantly surprised. I got an amazing three pass BBS shave. Totally unexpected and I wasn’t even trying! I’m going to think about trying this in another material! What a great find!

I love Miracle. It’s so good! Spicy, warm, and sweet it hits all the spots for me! It’s one of my desert island soaps. And I’m not blaving (to blave) when saying that! If you’ve never tried Miracle go out and do so!

A great shave was had! Have a great week all!
