First use of my new brush. I paired it with one of my favourite razors - the first vintage Gillette I ever bought, a J3 Slim.

Wild Fox Rituals Bergamot and Oakmoss is a great scent, and I whipped up the lather in my ceramic black bowl which has a nice rough texture perfect for building good structure. The slender haft of the handle is actually perfectly suited to holding the brush comfortably while lathering, as the bulbous beehive provides excellent balance. The G5C synthetic knot is a proven performer anyway, but it was still comforting to see it at work.
Applying the lather was very easy, again thanks to the handle's natural balance. It's quite a long handle, and despite tapering as it does, it fits well in the hand, and is a very pleasant to use; brush handle makers take note.
Great coverage and easy application with the G5C; it gives up lather easily and isn't a soap hog.

An enjoyable shave with favourite products, and again a real thrill to use items with considerable history and quality behind them.

Thanks. I stumbled upon it and couldn't resist. The shave is very similar to a DE89. Quite Mild---especially when compared to my 2011 R41, a real beast.

I had a wonderful shave. Very smooth, gentle and thoroughly in 2,5 passes. BBS at it‘s best.
