-Vintage-Gillette-Razor-

Great info Gary and a lovely example.
These earlier models in my book were the benchmark for the later DE's in this line of razors.
Cheers.
Thank you Paul, yours also. They are fine shavers.I also love all the differences year to year.It also surprises me how these items have survived all these years, the journeys they took and so on.There are still quite a few around. It's something I ponder on while I am using them. :)

The Blake handle super speed was the I ever shaved with back in 1982.
I wish i had that old razor now but it's long gone.

Beautiful razors Jim.
I hope you aren't passing on any time soon.
I've always enjoyed chatting with you on different forums.
Thank you. I am holding up pretty good.

“Five years ago”.
I bet your inventory is growing a bit since then, mate.😉
Cheers.
You are right. It has grown some, but not much. My goal is to not buy any more razors this year.

I've bought a British Gillette New Standard, 1928, in silver from eBay. It seems to be in pretty decent condition. What are the community views on the British New Standard? My British Old Type, Aristocrat, Rocket and Flare Tip seems to have a better build quality than their US counterparts - is this true for the New?

Well that's a relief

Well if you get serious about downsizing there are two or three razors in your collection I would be seriously interested in acquiring from you. Although I suspect they are ones you would want to hang onto till the last.
