I'll start it off with some soap that are artisan made...

First a brand I really like/love CBL soaps : Roasted oatmeal stout.. My son made a joke photo a long time ago when he was little where he picked up a refill puck ( not in a bowl ) and pretended to take a bite out of it as it smells like an oatmeal cookie...

Any of this makers soaps though work well and most smell fantastic...

I have settled on Tabac and Palmolive shave sticks. As I prefer to face lather. So I am a very boring soap user.

Actually a boring shave setup all round nowadays.

I have to confess that I am a very boring soap user as well. My preferred shaving soap is Arko shave sticks, as I am satisfied with its performance, as well as liking the scent quite a bit.

Hard to beat Mitchells Woolfat - just sayin'

I like a variety of different soaps myself and am known to also sometimes break out a stick of.....

I have Not tried the original MWF before I don;t think. I have tried the New non tallow formula though..

Mine was Old Spice but seeing SOTD photos on P&C by a member @Gargravarr has led me down the vintage Yardley trail, currently using one and have one (fully sealed 1950’s) to use next. Also coming on January the 4th, 2 Jack Jarvis soaps from Thailand the Cadwgawn and Thai Ginger Zest.

Yardley bastard :cautious:

I'm leaning towards Woolly Wash Soapery (Australian made) from etsy.com

Shear (unscented) this soap is almost 100% perfect, just like Mitchell's Wool Fat ;)🥃

Of the 316 shaves I have logged for 2025 to date, the most (by a good distance) were with one of Manuel's superb creations: 101. I can't see that changing in 2026. This was his 2025 LE soap.

yeah, an absolutely stunning soap.. both in scent and performance.. (y)

Yardley (any variety, currently using Black Label and a stick of Green Label). Valobra (fave is Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge).

Of the modern "artisan" soaps, I concur with @Silverlifter, Eufros is sublime. Also up there is MdC and Castle Forbes.
